Tie One On

Have you started Christmas shopping yet? I haven't even started yet. Eeep! Something tells me I need to instill a little hustle for the holiday bustle. I'll tell you this much, I feel like getting everyone luxurious things like makeup and creams and perfumes and wrapping them up in these lovely little numbers. Because seriously, my Christmas tree would look hella swanky with these under it.

My new Santa sweater

Barry and I went to Boston for the weekend and this happened. I couldn't help myself. I don't need a Christmas sweater but I wanted it and so this puppy came home with me. Is it scratchy? Yes. But it's oh so cute, and I can't wait to wear it over the holidays!

Would You Wear a Black Wedding Dress?

Who says a wedding dress has to be white? You know what irks me about planning a wedding? Expectations. That you have to do it a certain way. That you're supposed to have a sit down dinner. People must not wear white to the wedding (*gasp* don't upstage the bride!). Must. Must. Must. It makes me wonder what would happen if the bride showed up in a black wedding gown. These days I want to wear black. Or elope.

New beginnings

A couple of years ago, I put my blog, Adorn Inc, to bed. I loved that little blog. But I was starting on a business venture and I wanted to give it my all. It flopped, my heart sank, and I got busy with life. Life has taken a big ol' 180 for me. Single to living with a beau. Renting to building a house. Raising my right hand to raising my left.

But I always missed writing. So here it is. A Bright Lip. Here I'll share with you my ideas for my wedding and the home I'm building, the books and blushes I can't put down, and my life - half full or empty.
